Obverse: A five-pointed 40-mm bright bronze star. In the domed circular center, the national emblem with the surrounding legend "PASCHIMI STAR / Paschimi Star [Hindi]". Suspended by a ring.

Reverse: The naming details are impressed in the center of the plain reverse.

Ribbon: 31 mm, medium pink with three 2 mm white central stripes. Medium pink 10 mm, white 2 mm, medium pink 2 mm, white 2 mm, medium pink 2 mm, white 2 mm, medium pink 10 mm.
