Obverse: A circular 35-mm copper-nickel medal. The national emblem with, above "NATIONAL CADET CORPS / Rashtriya Kadet Kor [Hindi]" and below "Sapt varsh dirgh seva medal / SEVEN YEARS LONG SERVICE MEDAL". Suspended by a straight-bar suspender and named on the edge.

Reverse: In the center, a small domed wreathed circle with "NCC" and below in Hindi "Ekta aur Anushasan" or "Unity and ???".
