An Indian couple and human rights activists Mr.Vivek Pandit and Mrs. Vidyullata Pandit were selected for International Anti-slavery Award for 1999 for their efforts to free and rehabilitate bonded and child labourers In Maharashtra. The award is given by Antislavery International(ASI)in London.
